Now that you have booked your Hotel accomodations you have to think about doing other things. If you just stay in your Hotel room you will go stir crazy, so why not plan out something to do with your family or just by yourself. Reno has more than just gambling and night shows, keep reading and you will find out what to do in Reno.

National Automobile Museum - For those of you who can appreciate a fine work of art like a 1931 Bugatti Type 40A Cabriolet or a Lana Turner's 1941 Chrysler Newport. Then the National Automobile Museum is your cup of tea. There are over 200 classic cars that you can admire and enjoy.

Ponderosa Ranch - If you are like me and spent any time in front of the TV watching Bonanza you cant miss the Ponderosa Ranch. Start the day out with a ride through the Ponderosa pines, to the Breathtaking view of Lake Tahoe and enjoy a hearty, all-you-can-eat breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, flapjacks, coffee and juice. There are shows daily, food, souvenirs, and much more to enjoy on your visit to the Ponderosa Ranch.

Golfing - Reno is acclaimed that you can hit the ball 25 yards further that anywhere else. So for the games of a life time you can come to one of 32 different Golf courses in the greater Reno area to include Carson City, Reno, Sparks and Lake Tahoe. I will get more information in a week or two.

The National Championship Air Races - and Air Show has been run just outside Reno, Nevada, every year since 1964, except for 2001 when flying was suspended in the USA following the attacks on the United States. This year the National Championship Air Races will be held from Sept. 12th thru the 15th. There will be a Pylon seminar, Astronaunt Reunion, Aerobatic Hang-Gliding, and much more.

Nevada Historical Society - The Nevada Historical Society, founded in 1904, is Nevada's oldest museum; the Society also maintains a unique research library. If you are looking to learn about Nevada what better place to look. Some of the exhibits are; Living on the Land, Riches from the Earth, George Wingfield’s Reno, and Reno’s Golden Age.

Fleischmann Planetaurium - Located just 1-1/2 miles north of downtown Reno on the University of Nevada, Reno campus, we offer planetarium star shows, SkyDome large-format films, an astronomical museum and exhibits, a free public observatory, and much more.
